What I can tell from the file is that the crash is caused by an encoding issue. So what you can try is backup your Favorites.xml file (depending on how you installed ApexDC it is either in the Settings folder in the program directory or in windows Application Data folder for ApexDC) and then start ApexDC with no hubs in Favorites, then re-add all hubs one by one until you figure out which hub causes it.

This way you can at least try and avoid the issue.

If this is happening for every hub, then I would guess it has something to do with the Nick or Description values in settings you have chosen (because those are likely same for all hubs).

I appreciate your help! Although the problem seems to occur within the network settings... When trying to establ;ish a connection, changing the network settings from " automatic, direct connection, firewall with UPnP etc." seems to be the factor to make it crash. i only change these settings because after a couple of hours i can no longer connect to people, nor can they connect to me. after attempting to change it, the program shuts down. 🤷‍♂️
