For the forum admin: Topic starter not subscribbed for e-mail notifications in his topic?

Hello,

when i registered, i think that in my profile settings, i had an e-mail notification set to be only on my bookmarked topics.
But usually people are interested in replies in their topics right? That is the reason I think much better approach would be to enable for all new users the option "Notify me when people comment on my discussions." by default.
